Excitement building for London's biggest Canada-UK event - May 19th
We recently caught up with Ashley Gallant and Jenny McCann, Chair and manager of the Maple Leaf Ball respectively. The ladies shared with us an update on the upcoming Maple Leaf Ball, and we were thrilled to hear they’re nearing a sell-out crowd! Held every two years, the Ball is the most well attended event in London for Canadians and their friends. This year the Ball takes place May 19th at the world-class Victoria and Alberta Museum. The evening will open with a champagne reception in the John Madejski Garden accompanied by a CCSF scholar performance. Following the reception, a three-course gourmet dinner will be served in the Raphael Court where guests will be surrounded by monumental Renaissance masterpieces. Throughout the evening there will be a live and silent auction and , a not-be-missed raffle.
Having attended these wonderful events before, we can attest to how many friendships are cemented over drinks, it’s a wonderful evening. For us, the other highlight of the evening wlil be the musical performances of Canadian musicians, supported in their PhD studies by scholarships made possible by the Maple Leaf Trust and the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund. There are only a few tables (£5000) and individual tickets (£250) remaining, so act now to avoid missing out! Tickets are available here. or by writing to Jenny McCann.
