STATEMENT OF INTEREST - DEADLINE 6 JANUARY 2020

The Canada-UK Foundation welcomes statements of interest from prospective applicants for the 2020-2021 academic year. The deadline is January 6, 2020, at 11:59pm.

Our awards programs provide funding opportunities for scholars to support the following academic activities:

·       Research and Travel Awards – up to a maximum of £1000

·       Conference Support Awards – up to a maximum of £5000

·       Outreach Awards – up to a maximum of £1000

·       Publication Awards – up to a maximum of £1000

·       Seed Funding Opportunities – up to a maximum of £2000

·       PhD Studentship Awards – up to a maximum of £2000

The personal statement should not exceed 1000 words, in which the applicant must attest as wholly truthful of his or her own work. The statement should highlight the applicant's academic and other interests, as well as describe the specific areas of proposed study- in line with the Canada-UK Foundation’s focused priorities, and the reasons for wishing to undertake their studies in Canada.

THE SELECTION COMMITTEE WILL PLACE SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE PERSONAL STATEMENT AND WILL CONTACT THOSE SHORTLISTED TO INVITE THEM TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM BY 6 FEBRUARY 2020.
