High Commission of Canada in the UK: Funding opportunities

The High Commission of Canada in the UK has opened a small pot of funding for cultural and advocacy projects in the coming year. The funding available is modest, but in our experience there is enormous value in the other sorts of support that recipient projects receive, including support for marketing and promotion and the potential for collaboration. The projects must, of course, connect Canada and the United Kingdom in some manner, including through artists and institutions collaborating. Priority areas for consideration include:

• Diversity and inclusion

• Human rights, including gender equality and LGBTQ2+ rights

• Indigenous reconciliation and expression

• Environmental protection and climate change

• Innovation and prosperity

Canada House spokespersons said that, at this point, full proposals are not necessary, rather they seek Expressions of Interest. A quick questionaire and details are available here.
